The lights dim, the screen brightens, your heart starts to race as the audience settles in to watch the films. It doesn't matter how many times you go through it, a premiere screening of your film is always a roller coaster ride of emotions. Apprehension, anxiety, anticipation, joy, wonder and all the memories of your experience making the film unleash themselves upon you all at once!
What a thrill!
And tonight, that thrill was enhanced by an amazingly positive response to our little movie! It was such a fun ride to take. The audience laughed in all the right places, and I think they really enjoyed the musical numbers.
Congrats to all the cast. Your performances in this film were spot on. Every expression, every comedic bit, every note hit this audience with just the right emphasis. It was a lot of fun watching you, and it was even more fun for me to "feel" the audience responding to you. Way to go you guys and dolls! |

48 Hours, 3 Required Elements, 1 Musical For this year's production in the 48 Hour Film Project in San Diego, Dawson Digital Productions (entered in as team Nigerian Prince Productions) drew the Musical or Western genre out of the hat. A dreaded genre for some. A dream pick for us. Our decision was made to create a Musical, and that's exactly what we did. |
